We are proud to announce that AA Training Associates are licensed to deliver both units of the 'Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors'.

The Security Industry Authority has the primary objective of raising standards of corporate and individual performance within the private security industry. A key element in achieving this will be to raise the levels of individual skills.

The SIA has defined standards of competence for licensing which will be consistently applied and include an industry-wide approach across sectors and jobs. The competency criteria for licensing is based on a systematic analysis of skills, needs and trends, and on the identification of the knowledge required to perform the job to the required standard.

The BIIAB and City & Guilds and NCFE, working in collaboration with industry and the SIA, have developed the 'Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors' in support of the licence to practise for door supervisors.

The qualification is based on the SIA standards and on best practice in training and assessment, and it represents an important first step towards raising skills and performance standards in the industry
